Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu earlier said Turkey would consider buying planes from Russia or other countries if the United States refuses to sell F-35 warplanes.
Last week, Turkey began participating in the Russian missile defence system S-400, which led to the official Washington decision to suspend Turkey from buying F-35.
Turkey has not given up S-400, and President Recep Tayip Erdogan said the system will go to work in April 2020.
“Su-35” is a 4+ generation plane that first flew in early 2008, and has been in service since 2015.
