The MP in question named Vladimir Djukanovic made these statements in his tagua on July 10th, a day before genocide was carried out over 8 thousand Bosniaks in the town of Srebrenica.
“I want to congratulate the Serbian people on Srebrenica Freedom Day. We thank General Rakto Mladic for the adoption of military operation”, Djukanovic wrote.
Serbia and Serbs in Bosnia refuse to admit that mass killings in Bosnia have been genocide.
Srebrenica was a city protected by the Dutch forces on UN missions. But they left the town of Serbs and did not protect the civilian population. Mladic and his troops committed mass killings of all men in this city.
Thousands were executed as those who tried to flee the mountains were caught and killed as well.
Serbian leader Radovan Karadzic was convicted in March 2016 of war crimes because of his role in the massacre. Mladic was sentenced to life in 2017 after being convicted of genocide.
