Pristina council owners have taken the door to the mayor, Shpend Ahmeti, for the second time within the week. They have once again protested the municipal object against the criteria set by the municipality, considering they are discriminated against and unaffordable for them.
Protesters' representative, Sadudin Ahmeti, has once demanded from the municipal assembly in Pristina to enable it through the vote to stay in their possession.
According to him, the mayor is trying to downplay the problem by claiming there are only 11 active sources. For him there are over thirty kids with more than 70 workers who will remain unemployed.
Protester Ahmeti stressed that by means of this decision, it is wanting to be taken from the poor and given to the rich.
While stressing that their monthly circulation is about 3,000 euros a month, as he says it is impossible to be an honour at 5m euros just as the municipality has requested.
There are eleven suspects as if to declare Shpend Ahmeti, but they are over thirty active and there are more than 70 workers working there. He's looking at the problem by minimizing it. And under 2 I want you to show that the only point where we're at odds with the Pristina municipality is who owned the stern. He wants to take away the poor and give it to the rich”, he said.
The other protester, Arian Mustafa, citing the municipality's decision, said it would create unemployment because many families would remain at work.
He pressed charges against municipal organs. According to him, they are serving large companies in order to finance their parties in times of election.
The reason many people are protesting is that this creates unemployment, many families depend on those of four members, or more. I've been working in the kiosk myself since I was in Kosovo. Now these guys are out of work, they give it to those who have big companies and supermarkets so that when the time of the elections comes they finance their parties. It is known very simply who they are, the owners of large supermarkets, Maxi, Superviva, Elcosi”, he said.
Protesters said that until a decision is made that annuls the municipality auction, they will continue peaceful protests.
After the protests ended, they continued at the municipal assembly, where they are continuing to discuss whether it should enter as a particular point in the order of the day. The two opposition parties -- the LDK and the VV -- demanded this.
