Kosovo is privileged to be represented in the Ministry for Religious Freedoms. Our achievements are widely known.
I thanked US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for his and American support of Kosovo”, Pacolli wrote.
Pacolli has written that religious freedom is a principle that matters to us because of our history, our heritage, and our future.
“On our way forward we must look again into our long tradition of peaceful coexistence among different religions, we, Muslims, Catholics, Orthodox, Protestants, Jews and many other communities live together in harmony and coexistence. Kosovo's constitution promotes unlimited practice of confidence and gives equal treatment to all religions in Kosovo and their followers.
We have included instruments of the United Nations and Council of Europe as part of our legal system. Our Parliament is currently working to adopt a modern law on religious freedoms and rights that impose these international instruments and our constitutional principles on national legislation.
Kosovo is creating institutional mechanisms that will strengthen the Government's commitment to all religious communities in Kosovo. Kosovo is an example in the region and more widely in terms of interreligious tolerance and co-existence of religions. We will promote this value and heritage of Kosovo and are happy to share it worldwide. We will continue to work with the American government to address the importance of religious freedoms and to take joint initiatives with our partners”, he wrote.
