Opposition party MPs stress that the Parliament for longer than two months is operating only with extraordinary sessions, which the opposition is calling.
Avdullah Hoti, chief of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic League of Kosovo, told Radio Free Europe that LDK, as an opposition party, would continue operations in the Assembly to render unable to run institutions by political parties, and, as he said, people without legitimacy leading with institutions.
He said that with this form of governance every day and more the country's vital processes are being damaged.
Albulen Haxhiu, deputy from the Vetevendosje Movement, in a conversation for Radio Free Europe says Kosovo's Assembly has long not been operational, and that, according to her, under such circumstances, current governance should resign.
She said Vetevendosje, will not abandon sessions work, but will not serve for the creation of quorum.
We'll continue the job if the hearings are called, but we won't allow them a quorum. The opposition doesn't make quorum, the opposition makes criticism, it also gives proposals as we have done and made, but at no moment they can't rely on our votes”.
If they say they are powerful and must continue to govern, then let them find the numbers”, Haxhiu said.
She also said that in the absence of votes in the Assembly, the ruling coalition is seeking to bargain with opposition parties to achieve sufficient numbers of votes for specific issues. A recent attempt, Haxhiu said, was at the last meeting of the Parliament's Headship.
“The head of the Parliament was looking for a deal with the opposition. He asked the opposition what are the points the opposition would vote for to keep the session. We're not here to shop. We have our opposition strategy, we have our priorities as opposition, like Vetevendosje”, she said.
Haxhiu said the Parliament cannot go on vacation without giving up the motion for the government's fall. As she said, if this government will continue with scandals over the next two months, it is a major and unacceptable loss for Vetevendosje.
It has been longer than a year since the Parliament, the ruling coalition does not have the majority of votes for decision-making, but the opposition does not have enough votes to challenge Government. Such a situation in the Assembly exists since the Serbian List, which has representation in Government, but in the country passed the opposition separately.
