Muller said it was true that Trump had refused the interview request, despite the fact that his team had tried several times to do so, writes CNN, translates Periscope.

Mueller: Yeah.
Nadler: And is it true that for more than a year you've tried to provide an interview with the President?
Mueller: Yeah.
Nadler: And is it true that you and your team advised the president's lawyer that, quote, <x0... an interview with the president is vital to our investigation?
Mueller: Yeah.
Nadler: But the president still refused to sit down for an interview with you?
Mueller: Yeah.
