Kosnet reacts to tomb damage in Lipjan

“The safe exercise of freedom of trust requires respect between communities and swift action of justice” has written Costnett on Twitter, while speaking of the beginning of the Ministerial Meeting for Religious Freedoms in Washington.
Some 1,000 representatives from around the world, including Kosovo, are participating in this meeting, where religious freedoms are discussed.
On July 14th, Kosovo Police announced they are conducting investigations following reports that “have damaged several Serbian Orthodox cemetery stones” in the municipality of Lipjan.
Gracanica Mayor Srdjan Popovic said this incident “is a sign that Serbs are not desirable in the municipality of Lipjan”.
On Tuesday, Kosovo's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through a communique, has strongly condemned the damage to the Serbian Orthodox cemetery in the municipality of Lipjan, saying the <x0incident in question is against the interests of Kosovo and that authority will do its best not to repeat the case”.
