Investment in advanced irrigation system

Pristina, July 02nd, 2019, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Dijana Zivic has hosted a World Bank delegation today, led by Pieter Waalwine, water resources manager at the bank.

In this case, Minister Zivic thanked the World Bank representatives for their continued support and offer to the agriculture sector and stressed the importance of BB projects in implementing joint projects in development and advancing the agriculture sector, where such projects are necessary for development of agriculture.

During this meeting, it has also been discussed with the possibility of supporting agriculture through advancing the agricultural land irrigation system, with cʹrast the minister receiving the WB support for supporting these projects even further.

For his part, Pieter Waalwin, the BB water source manager with his associates reconfirmed World Bank support for agriculture, stressing how the sector has contributed and is contributing to economic development in the country and the opening of new jobs.
