Great Britain broke its heat record last week with 38.7 degrees Celsius registered Thursday at Cambridge Botanical Garden, the national meteorological service, “Met Office” announced today.

It actually passes the previous record of 38.5 degrees Celsius that was registered in Feversham, Kent, in August 2003.

The <x0m>Clima of Great Britain has been warming since the middle of the XX-8x1>, announced Mark McCarty, of the national climate information centre, which depends on “Met Office”, broadcast ATSH.
“Climate change has increased the possibility and risk of heat waves in Europe, increasing risks for temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius in Britain”, he stressed.
