This time around, the dozen humorists accused of co-operating with the secret services targeted the prime minister of Northern Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, and caused him no little trouble.
Known as Lexus and Vovan, Vladimir Kusnezov and Alexey Stoljarov have turned Petro Porosenko into the target of their jokes and is trapped, as Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj reported.
They have even managed to call the late senator, John McCain, the special charge for Ukraine, Kurt Volker, or even NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
Neither could French President Emmanuel Macron nor Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan escape.
In September 2015, they convinced Elton John that Russian President Vladimir Putin was in line and wanted to discuss gay rights.
Pleased, the British singer posted the call online while the Kremlin was forced to react. The real Putin called Elton John and expressed regret over this „telephoned the boys“, as he called the prancings.
In an interview for the AFP news agency, humorists themselves would say:
We were FSB colonels or majors a long time ago. ”
In fact, the way the victims are chosen, the fact that generally do not provoke Russian politicians or that they have access to high-level politicians' telephone numbers, has caused suspicions that both of them work for Russian secret services to be loud.
