Haradinaj again takes hold of Wessel

The clashes between leaders of the ruling coalition have continued. Following the criticism of Kosovo Parliament Speaker and the number one man in the PDK, Kadri Veselin, at the address of his government partner, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, has reacted to the government's head.

In an interview for KTV's “show, Haradinaj has accused Veselini of “servilism”, while naming “shameful” the comparison Wessel has made to Haradinaj's attitudes towards Serbia and the United States of America.

“It is shameful a Kosovo leader to do an asymmetry ace, a comparison of each tone's approach to Kosovo, and told me that ésilles as with Serbia, as with America”, Haradinaj said, stating that it is shameful from the topparliamentary Veselin has made such a comparison.

Haradinaj, on the other hand, has denied that his approach to the US is the same as it was to Serbia.

America is my family. But there is some disagreement in the family. And I'm explaining this to Kadri Wessels of Hashim Thaci, of others. You're not good for America if you don't defend your interest”, Haradinaj said.

He, on the other hand, has said Washington should hear a clear message from Kosovo. I can't get my territory. My country's territory is not affected. I can't give up Zajednica as Dodik's type, that Russia enters and makes trouble”, Haradinaj said, stressing that free trade, without taxes, could return in exchange after recognition. “If this is against America, and it's the same as they told Serbia it's pointless”, he said, naming such a position of Kadri Veselin “servilism”.

These Haradinaj statements in “Rubikon” were made after the criticisms Kadri Veselini imposed on the 100 per cent tax on the goods of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In an interview given to the Voice of America in Washington, where it is located for a visit, Wessel has said there are differences between him and Haradinaj when it comes to the tax issue and dialogue with Serbia.

And there's a pragmatism where I defend my interest, never allowing communication with Serbia, the form in which I communicate with Serbia to be uniform even with the United States and with the European Union. This is the difference between me and Prime Minister Haradinaj, who has to make this distinction”, Vessel has told the Voice of America. “When I talk about Serbia, even 1000% put the tax on, but when we talk to the United States and the European Union we have to be pragmatic, we need to be a little smarter. This is the issue that distinguishes”, he stressed.

Wessel has said his position is that Kosovo has the legitimate right to make decisions which are both tariffs and protection of sovereignty and territorial and institutional integrity, but that “we need to know, all of our people know: populism is an opium that creates a favour at a certain moment for specific politicians”.

For the long term we have to be smart and we don't have any other routes without the US and the European Union, we can't be successful in our goal. If we put them together: The US, the European Union, as well as the tariff issue and Serbia is wrong. We need to find the moment and the way that separates Serbia from the language which is used against us by the European Union and the US. For that reason, I said, for Serbia I put the 1,000% fee, but with the European Union and the US we show that we are tolerant”, Veselin has said, repeating his proposal that the imposed tax be temporarily suspended.
