In Haradinaj Government, you are first dismissed if you hold your feet high rather than accused of corruption

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, morning, through a brief publication on the social network “Facebook”, announced he has made a decision on the release of Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Shukri Maximus.

This decision by Prime Minister Haradinaj came after publishing by the media from several photographs in which Maxhu was seen standing up in the official car.

His behavior was condemned and described as misuse of the official car.

The decision on the dismissal of Deputy Prime Minister Maxhuni, though he is being described as the one being the one, poured out once again Prime Minister Haradinaj's double standards for his cabinet.

This, as it brings concern to the behaviour of a deputy minister in an official car, but makes no sense to have two ministers in Kubinette from his party, with charges of misuse of official office.

It's the Minister of Infrastructure, Pal Lekaj and Defence Minister Rrustem Berisha.

Lekaj, charged with two counts of alleged embezzlement and misuse of official office. According to the announcement issued by the Prosecutor, Lekaj and his associates in the municipality were suspected that, in co-ordination, during March 2012, by essentialally contributing to each other and using official duties or authority, they have exceeded their competencies and authorisations in order to benefit any benefits for themselves or the other, to cause damage to the Communists and its inhabitants.

In addition to Lekaj, the indictment in force has another minister among Prime Minister Haradinaj's party, the defence one, Rrustem Berisha.

Together with former Prime Minister Agim Ceku and AAKA MP Shkumbin Demalijaj, Berisha is accused of misusing official office in the case known as the Veterians. He was a member of the Commission to verify the status of KLA's veterans and disabled.

According to the indictment prepared by former special prosecutor Elez Blakaj, the people involved are charged that between 2011 and 2017, acting as members of the Government Commission for recognition and Verification of the Status of the Nation's Witness, Invaledit, Veteran, Partitor and Intervent of the Kosovo Liberation Army War, have used the duty and official authority, passing over competencies and failing to fulfill the official duties, in order to benefit other persons illegally, in order to continue, at the damage to the budget of the Republic of Kosovo. This indictment includes 12 persons who are charged with criminal work “misusing official position or authority”. In addition, according to the PSRK, evidence provided so far has proved that illegal payments to KLA war veterans has been damaged in many of the Republic of Kosovo's 68,153,533.14 euros.

While, with the indictment handed down to the court on December 7th 2018, it is claimed that the Republic of Kosovo budget has been damaged in many of the 88.769,217.04 euros.

For the recognition of political developments in the country, Imer Mushkolajn, these double standards of Prime Minister Haradinaj are intentional.

In a statement given to Periskopi, Mushkolaj says that in the case Maxhuni has had to make this decision, but it is hypocrisy on Haradinaj's part, while in his cabinet there are ministers with charges continuing to work without problem.

“I don't know by what condition the prime minister is measuring on who has committed smaller and bigger violations to make bad decisions. Of course, in the case of Maxhün, it has had to be made, but it is hypocritical when there are ministers in his Cabinet who carry on the job without a problem, while finding a deputy minister, as has been done with other deputy ministers for whom they are pompously suggesting that he has fired them. It's not the same cult for everyone, and it should be. First to start with the highest-ranking people who are beating ministers and then switching to deputy ministers and others”, Mushkolaj said about Periscope.

On the other hand, he says that these actions, Haraidna is deliberately making an impression that he is dismissing people who have problems with the law.

In this form he's trying to create some sort of impression that he's dismissing people who might have problems with the law, but on the other hand he's forgetting that right with his associates, in Lekaj's case or anyone else, there are people who have an indictment, and with that logic they should be dismissed and not keep those positions. In this way he is trying to cover up scandals that have characterised his rulership from the beginning and made an impression that law - abiding people are being punished. But I'm saying that there are close associates in the cabinet who might be suspected of having connections with millions. And instead of calling on justice bodies to investigate and get out of moral position because by law they can stay in position until investigations are carried out, Haradinaj is finding these smaller and many victims. When I'm saying a lot, I'm talking about 100 deputy ministers who can make decisions, but it's not hitting on the head that's being said, and it's not dealing with important names, which he's got in the Cabinet”, Mosskolaj said away about Periscope.

After publishing inappropriate photos in the official car, Deputy Prime Minister Maxhun himself had reacted.

He had said that all events had taken place because of health problems.

The deputy minister said he was returning after a hard day from the faculty where he taught, and has been forced to spread his legs.

According to him, the picture was misused.

“I don't have any fossils or abuses, but because of health reasons everyone knows I have problems with my leg. Because of my muscles, I had to lay down my legs and it was a 15-minute moment... and at that point someone picked up the”, he said.

The first to have requested Maximi's dismissal was Deputy Prime Minister and MPJ) Minister Behgjet Pacolli.

His reasoning, however, was at home.

This is not how public property should be treated and we condemn the act and prevent such cases. AKR and I will not tolerate and reject such acts by our official”, he wrote.

That Haradinaj has no intention of taking steps for ministers in the indictment, his statement testifies.

“As far as decisions the Government has made to ministers with the indictment should be expected decisions by the court and once we cannot make the decision. The government will make decisions by law on this”, he said.

Since receiving the mandate, six of the 22 ministers of the Haradinaj Government were on charges by justice bodies, under various doubts such as misuse of office, possession of weapons and illegal employment.

Part of this Government except Berisha's Lekat is Endrit Shala of the Initiative in the post of Trade and Industry Minister, who is accused of ownership, control or unauthorized possession of weapons.

On the same charge is Dardan Gashi, deputy prime minister and Diaspora minister.

Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka has also been accused of conflict of interest, but has been acquitted of the Constitutional Court in Pristina, while the case is at the Court of Appeals.
