The deputy head of the Kosovo Assembly and Kosovo Democratic Party Chiefship Xhavit Haliti has said Ramush Haradinaj has not needed to resign from the prime minister's position for an invitation from the Special Court. In an interview for the newspaper “The new age”, he has declared that Haradinaj has had to go to The Hague and return to continue work.
“I think he could go to The Hague to plead for what he was invited and return to office. As far as I heard, there was no invitation to arrest, because there was no indictment. I think that's why he didn't need to resign”, Haliti said.
According to him, the prime minister and other former KLA members are being brought before a Kosovo court, not a foreign court as they are being declared.
“second, he has not gone to a foreign court, but to a Kosovo court. I think he's doing a pencil when he says he's going to a foreign court and is not taking Kosovo's prime minister to a foreign court. It is a Kosovo court, so it is the Court of Special Chambers and acts and functions according to the laws and the Kosovo Constitution”, Haliti has indicated.
MP The PDK has voiced confidence that this party will win early elections.
According to him, regardless of whether The PDK will go into the pre-election coalition, or not, candidate for prime minister will be Kadri Veseli.
