Fatmir Sejdiu says he is a serious candidate for LDK chairman

Former LDK leader Fatmir Sejdiu appears to be a serious candidate to be at the party's helm again while a week remaining from the LDK Electoral Assembly.

Sejdiu has left wide open the possibility of entering the race to be her chairman.

In an interview for RTK, Sejdiu has said he has given his readiness to be chairman and never leaves her.

The former president of Kosovo has also added that he has what to give the LDK, but also Kosovo.

I have expressed my readiness and I never leave it. I think I can still do much for the Democratic League of Kosovo and for Kosovo”, Sejdiu has said.

However, he has said he will analyse the situation on the day the LDK Assembly is expected to be held, adding that there will be formal candidacy and he will see the process proceed.

The Democratic League Election Assembly is expected to be held on August 3rd. It is expected that its party chairman and leadership structures will be elected. Ambition to take over the party leader has openly expressed some of the LDK's central figures. The current chairman, Isa Mustafa, Deputy Mayors Agim Veliu and Lutfi Haziri, and Vjosa Osmani are just some of the people expected to run for LDK leader.
