Bytyqi Noah: I spoke the truth about the war of KLA, proud that I was an active part of the war

Journalist Nuhi Bytyqi was interviewed by the Special Chambers.

Through a statement to the media, he said he was proud to have been an active part of the KLA war and that his statements in the Special Chambers were in service of the truth of the liberation war.

Mr. Bytyqi:

After the official written request, which was sent to me by the Specialised Chambers and the Specialised Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo, I have given testimony concerning my activities as a journalist during the Kosovo Liberation Army war period.

I want to announce the public opinion that all my testimony, all my answers to the prosecution's interest, were in service of the truth of the KLA's liberation war, of arguing the sacrifice of freedom fighters and support of the civilian population given KLA. 

My work as a journalist and leader of the Albanian television team in war zones, presented to the VAT and world media through many television shows, is the best evidence of our clean commitment, fair and noble orientation of the Kosovo Liberation Army war. 

Given this professional and national commitment to the service of freedom of my homeland, it was easy for me even before the Specialised Chambers and the Specialised Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo to prove the truth in defense of our liberation activity.

As I have said in my earlier statements, I am proud to have been an active part of the 1998-1999 liberation war, and I am willing to witness at all times the truth of the population sacrifice for freedom and independence.

The 1998 and 1999 liberation war symbolizes the submilimate sacrifice and survival of the people of Kosovo, and is the decisive struggle that enabled the liberation and independence of Kosovo.
