Participants commemorated Srebrenica victims through candle lighting.
“Respecting the victims of genocide in Srebrenica, by government representatives must be the basis -- not only declarative -- of a proactive policy of peace and stability of Serbia”, the Youth Initiative for Human Rights said in the statement.

In a joint statement, signed by eleven non-governmental organisations, it is said that “is a shameful fact that none of the officials of the Republic of Serbia since 1995 has characterised Srebrenica as genocide. This confirms the continuation of denying genocide at the state level and society”.
