The chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Mojtaba Zolnour, warned his country that it would be destroyed in half an hour if attacked by the US.

“If the U.S. attacks us, only half an hour will remain life for Iran”, Zolnour said.

Tensions have risen significantly between the United States and Iran after they dropped an American threat.

Washington also accused Iran of standing behind antiship attacks in the Persian Gulf.

Tensions culminated last month when the U.S. was set to attack Tehran, but at the last moment, US President Donald Trump decided to withdraw.
