Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has commented on today's developments in Oslo, Norway, where he did not get the majority of votes's proposal for a change of the EBUUH broadcasters of the European Union, which would enable Kosovo to participate in Eurovision. He has said that such a thing is not spectacular, and that it does not solve the real problem.
The head of the Serbian state has said that despite such an event, the situation on the ground between Kosovo and Serbia will not have any improvement, saying that the lives of Serbs will not be eased after such an event.
“There will be no more for Serbs in Kosovo, nor will they live more easily” has Vuciq said in front of reporters in Kraleva, Rts writes.
The proposal for amendments to the EBU Staut, which would enable Kosovo participation in the Olympic Games, has received 673 votes against, 400 for and 113 abstentions.
Before being voted, states that have not recognised Kosovo, Serbia, Cyprus and Spain have demanded that the vote be held in a closed manner, and that is approved by the delegates present.
While reportedly without finally solving the problem with Serbia, Kosovo's participation in Eurovision will be a very difficult and feasible thing.
