Following the failure of the Paris Summit, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has warned countermatures against Kosovo.

These counter measures will be in response to the 100 per cent tax Kosovo government has imposed on products of Serbian and Bosnian origin since last November.

As Serbian media report, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has said counter measures against Kosovo will be taken after Vidovdan's holiday.

Asked whether he has given up on the warned set of counter-actions against Kosovo, Vucic said that concerning this issue he will talk to Serbs from Kosovo and that only after Vidovdan's day, when Serbs celebrate Kosovo's lost battle, will be known in which way the measures will be taken.

As he said, the countermass issue is serious and that it is not about daily threats.

I'd like to not do this, but if we're forced and if there's no progress, we'll talk to the international partners and we'll have to do that”, Vuciq was quoted as saying, broadcast the news.net.

He reiterated that the situation is complicated and difficult for Serbia.

When we talk to the representatives of our people again, right after Vidovdan, we will see how we will act and what measures we will take”, Vuciq stressed.

We remember that due to last November's tax settlement by the Kosovo government, the Serbian side has blocked dialogue and for its continuation, requires tax removal.

On the other hand, it is the Government of Kosovo that is insisting on tax maintenance and that Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj is demanding that dialogue with Serbia continue unconditionally and through an agreement guaranteeing recognition of Kosovo on Serbia's part.
