The leader of the Democratic Spirit said he votes because he opposes the boycott and has carried out his duty as a citizen. The former president said that turnout imposes tense elections.
“Today is a day of voting, all those who attended have exercised their right. It has been a strong message of our partners abroad from the United States who need to understand clearly that American politics is the policy of institutions, not emotions.
This kind of instability that Albanian politics does not have, the Albanian people need to be guided, Albanian political scheme needs to be reformed, people must gain confidence. I'm following my deep convictions against the boycott, the principles it has, and our political subject that participates in the elections, but also a recently expressed anti-combat policy and our main partners.
He said he voted and did his civic and political duty.
“Tonight they have to do deep meditation. It takes civic reflection on what they did, why they brought democracy to Albania on this level. It's the lowest standard of democracy we've had for years. Starting tomorrow, be the winners, whether of people who have been boycotted, must remind them to come to the process of political reforming”, Bamir Topi said.
