Tensions between the US and Iran came after Iran's Revolutionary Guard (the country's Army) fired a US threat. Iran claimed the threat had entered Iranian control space, while the US on the other side has claimed the threat was in neutral space, Reuters reports.
Trump had claimed he had planned to attack Iran, but stopped this attack because 150 people would die.
Trump this Saturday announced that the US government will look for diplomatic routes to pressure Iran, including the establishment of new sanctions.
The military action was “always on table” the president said, but he added it is open to an agreement with Iran, which, according to him, would not destroy the already weakened economy of the Islamic Republic.
