North Korea responded to this invitation through the state news agency. We appreciate this as a very interesting proposal, but we have not yet accepted the official invitation for such a” meeting, North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Choi Son Hui reportedly said through this agency.
On the other hand, South Korean officials also said there is nothing confirmed about this meeting, adding: our “position remains unchanged. We hope that there will be dialogue between the United States and North Korea”, says the South Korean Presidency statement, writes the Guardian”.
