African heat has affected northern Macedonia and the entire Balkans for the last two days with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius today, while temperatures are expected at the weekend to reach even higher rates of up to 39 degrees Celsius.
But as the Balkans burn, bad weather has affected Italy's north, causing major floods and forcing authorities to make the first evacuations from homes and factories in some areas of Lombardy.
The biggest fear at the moment constitutes the Komo linchi, where she can get out of bed and flood part of the city of Como. While Italian meteorologists predict the situation will deteriorate in the hours ahead.
