The agreement must resolve all open issues in line with international law, EU standards and should contribute to regional stability.
According to the Belgrade newspaper “Blic”, this is how the conclusion that will be a topic of review at the European Union countries' meeting of foreign affairs on June 18th is highlighted.
As the paper says, this is also a clear message that dialogue and agreement with Kosovo on European diplomacy are crucial to Serbia's progress towards the EU.
Chiefs of European diplomacy will also talk about the circumstances in the Western Balkans and they would have to approve conclusions about the countries' progress and obligations in the enlargement process.
Besides Serbia and Kosovo, the report also examines the situation in all Western Balkan countries. Ministers' findings will verify EU heads of state and government on June 20th and 21st in Brussels
These are the six EU tasks for Serbia:
The legally binding agreement with Kosovo,
Focusing on basic reform,
Progress in the field of rule of law,
Judiciary and Independent media,
Fighting crime and corruption,
Foreign Policy Coordination.
