Iran has declared that “does not want to wage war against any nation” after the US announced that 1,000 additional troops would be sent to the Middle East following mounting tensions.
This U.S. movement, announced by Defence Secretary Patrick Chanahan's taskman, comes after this country previously blamed Iran for the new attacks on two oil boats last week, which increased fears of confrontation, with Tehran announcing it would increase the level of uranium enrichment, writes Periscopi.
Shanahan stated that deployment was for defence purposes, citing concerns about threats from Iran. The recent “Sulmet from Iran renders creditable intelligence information we have received for the hostile behaviour by Iranian forces to the United States personnel and interests in the region,”, he said in a statement.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhan responded during today, saying Iran does not want conflict.
Whatever you say. Those who are facing us are a group of inexperienced politicians. ”
The US yesterday had published other photographs supporting its claim that Iran was responsible for attacks on commercial ships in Oman Bay. /Periscope
