In a news release, the Special Prosecutor has announced that the detainee is D. S, of the Albanian community, citizen of Kosovo.
He allegedly committed war crimes against the civilian population in March 1999 in Ferizaj.
The prisoner has been sent to 48 hours maintenance.
This is the Special Prosecutor's full announcement:
Pristina, June 15th 2019 -- Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK) -- announces the opinion that at the order of the prosecutor of this prosecutor -- the person with the initial D.S.A. -- the citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, the Albanian Nationality, who allegedly committed war crimes against the civil population in March 1999 in Ferizaj. The person in question has been arrested at the border crossing in Brnjak, now sent to the hold for 48 hours.
