Pressure for Kosovo Air Quality

The Institute for Development Policy INDEP, along with the French Embassy in Kosovo, today organises the round table “Air Quality in Kosovo: Towards the European Standards”. The purpose of this meeting is to gather the interest parties representing public institutions, development agencies, donors, representatives from the academy, research institutes, civil society organisations, etc., to discuss the state of air quality in the country.
This table's main tasks are: Let's better understand what danger air pollution poses in Kosovo and make a review of current relevant legislation against the EU acquis and evaluate the current state of air pollution in the country and discuss how to deal institutionally with this issue, and propose concrete recommendations applicable to Kosovo in order to improve air quality as well as practices in this direction to comply with EU-27 standards, the statement said.
During this event, air quality in Kosovo will also be introduced: Towards European Standards” which will be accompanied by a panel discussion about the theme “what should we take to ensure a proper institutional response to addressing the issue of air quality in Kosovo while aiming to meet EU criteria?”
