During this action, held even in the country's north, there were also wounded by the Kosovo Police in the municipality of Zubin Potok after local Serbs had placed barricades.
But during this action, shots have been fired against Swiss soldiers within KFOR.
According to the Swiss newspaper “Blic”, referring to the report of the Kosovo “Justice”, a Swiss military vehicle has been attacked by firearms. “Swisscoy” was reportedly carrying out a surveillance mission in northern Kosovo when it faced shootings and immediately withdrew.
“Blic” writes that Swiss soldiers, although not involved in the police action, had to oversee them. According to information from the Swiss Army, KFOR commander issued this order to all liaison and supervisory teams, Koha.net broadcasts.
When the shots were heard, patrols consisting of two Swiss soldiers' cars were launched to carry out KFOR's mission in the area of responsibility, in the region of Zubin Potok in northern Kosovo.
The Swiss patrol was near the village of Zupc when Kosovo police faced gunfire.
The Swiss “soldiers in the first car and took refuge and managed to escape without injuries”, Swiss Army spokesman Daniel Sekler said about “Blic”.
Later, both cars were back at the Novosela Camp, when part of the Swiss is located.
