For the first time, Ohrid Lake Day has been marked in 2002, with the aim of contributing to the protection of the region's natural and cultural wealth as well as further approach of residents on both sides of the lake.
The host country of the manifestation circulates from one municipality to another, but the message is always the same: raising the awareness of the opinion for greater cooperation of citizens and power for protecting the Ohrid Lake Basin as irreplaceable natural wealth.
