Run from Athens to Albania, 43-year-old Mentor Hasani, resident of Debar. Hasan had been declared at large after the Court of Debar, dated March 31, 1998, has sentenced him to 17 years in prison for criminal acts: “Willing murder” and “holding arms without permission”.
On August 28, 1997, in the village of Lishan the Upper, Luzni municipality of Debar, Mentor Hasani has shot citizens S. C., who was going back to his apartment. After the crime, the author was hiding in Greece, and after receiving information from Interpol Athens, Albanian authorities sought his arrest and extradition. He must now serve a 17-year prison sentence. / TCh/
