Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Fatmir Matoshi has today accepted a donation from the Japanese Government, under the construction of air pollution control capacities in Kosovo, a 4m-euro project.

This donation has been distributed to Kosovo's Hydrometeorological Institute by Japan's Ambassador to Vienna adviser Daisuke Sugihara, JICA adviser Makino Takakiko and other Japanese experts.

In this case, Minister Matoshi said the Japanese government through JICA is making an enormous contribution to the environment.

This project, in addition to studying air pollution sources and building human capacities, is also contributing to the measurement instruments for emissions, with all the equipment and many other necessary equipment, to create a sustainable system for air quality management”, Minister Matosti said.

In addition to the airfield, the Japanese government has supported the waste management sector with waste transport equipment and human capacity building.

While Japan's Ambassador to Vienna adviser Daisuke Sugihara has indicated that his government will soon open Japan's embassy in Kosovo on the 10th anniversary of its connection to diplomatic relations.

After the joint media conference, Minister Matoshi, together with representatives of the Japanese government, have visited the Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute, where the admission of 100 technical equipment for gas measurements and measuring air quality has been made.

The accepted donation equipment from Japan is the gas analyzer, such as NOX, SO2, CO, CO2 and O2, moisture measurement equipment in flush gas, dust measurement temperature equipment, 6 vacuum pumps, liquid gas pumps, vessels for non-continent method, various vessels for non-tourishing, laboratory vessels for non-training, and all chemicals for dust non-tighting and dust analysis, and gas emissions in the laboratory for writing and then for reference equipment, technical equipment for technical printing and printing, and all sorts of printing and natural printing equipment.
