Jailing for Suspected Crime Group Organised

The Constitutional Court in Pristina has decided regarding the Kosovo Republic of Kosovo's Special Prosecutor's request for the appointment of the detention action against the V.T. and D.K. Because of criminal acts, the participation or organisation of the criminal group organised in connection with criminal acts abuse of office or official authority and taking bribes. [...]
The court has taken office, and the defendants have been appointed a month-long detention measure.
The court has found that the criteria from Article 187 par.1 below have been met. par.1.2 points 1.2.1 and 1.2.2. The KPRK's, because there is potential risk that the same ones if found in freedom can escape and thus prevent the normal course of criminal procedure, defendants can influence witnesses, hide evidence of criminal acts, or counterfeit any evidence to serve as alibi for defendants, with the aim of avoiding criminal responsibility”, says the communique.
Against that ruling, the parties have a right to complaint at the Kosovo Court of Appeals.
