The previous vote, held on 31 March this year, was cancelled by the Supreme Election Council last month.

AK The party won 24 district municipalities throughout the province, while the CHP won 14, AA reports.
Results in March were cancelled after the AK Party and its coalition partner, Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), appealed to The YSK, citing irregularities and contradictions with legal measures and led to election cancellation.
YSK chief Sadi Guven said all eligible voters who cast their ballots in the March 31st poll would be able to do so again in a new vote for Istanbul's capital chairman.
However, 44,852 voters were removed from the election lists due to condemnation, military service or death.
The KSF announced that the total number of voters would be 10,560,963 for the June 23rd elections.
