Illegal log cutters arrested, four tractors confiscated

Based on the operational plan “Forest Protection 2019”, the police station's department in Development, in support of the unit for quick response from DDRP Ferizaj, have continued with their earlier commitment to cutting down forests and transporting illegal wood.

During yesterday and today, in the villages of Reqak, Molpolz and Petov, police units have arrested five people and four tractors have been confiscated, as well as a quantity of trees being transported illegally.

Also, in the village of Petrova, about 200m illegally cut wood has been found in the courtyard of one of the suspects.

Agriculture Ministry Inspectors Kosovo's Forest Agency has been announced on the case and legal procedures will continue, as well as the seizure of wood mass.

The operational plan is under way, Kosovo Police report in a media report.
