Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said he would not participate in any events with Serbia without clarifying what and how the process will work further.
After today's cabinet meeting, Haradinaj insists on the idea of an agreement on the framework to know what Pristina and Belgrade will dialogue on.
The Kosovo executive chief acknowledged that the Paris summit may not be held, but this is not because of Kosovo. However, he stressed that the agreement-ganise would also apply to the process of dialogue that could resume in the autumn.
It is very important that we have a creative position like Kosovo, to create, we have only worked as Kosovo the position on the topic, the government of the country, the state delegation, the country's institutions. As far as we're concerned, Paris can be kept, so we're on duty. We think that a framework agreement to deal with is necessary to make it possible. Not only for Paris, but even if Paris does not happen that it may not happen, but not for Kosovo's fault I have already said, but also in the autumn if the EU High Representative's dialogue returns now after Moghrin, it still needs a framework of agreement for him to know what will be discussed. Without this framework agreement of mutual recognition where the elements are, there is no logic”, Haradinaj said.
As an example, he cited the integrated border management agreement, an international agreement with European Union investment, which Haradinaj says should only be implemented and not discussed again because there is no logic.
The prime minister said he is not interested in going to Paris for tourism and that he will not participate if there is no clarity about what will be discussed.
Kosovo and Serbia have such advanced relations, not that they have problems with borders, but they have very advanced relations for integrated border management, so there are international agreements. Can't Kosovo get back with the IBM rediscussion, it's a discussion, it's a deal we have to deal with, so the framework agreement on what we're going to discuss is a guarantee of whether to have dialogue or not, so there's no need only dialogue for tourism, but dialogue on the basis of an agreement on what to talk about. [... We need to know what dialogue is and what it will talk about, this dialogue we are ready for. Tourism, we go to Paris for fun, or we go somewhere else for fun, but there is no logic in any step to make it wrong like Kosovo. I will not participate in any event that has no clarity as to what and how to address «the process further”, Haradinaj followed.
