The German Embassy through a declaration fully respects the fundamental right of Albanian citizens to demonstrate, re-exemplifies the importance of exercising this right in a orderly and peaceful manner.
“We condemn all violent acts that have occurred in previous protests. No form of inciting violence is tolerated. Using explosives or other items designed to cause injury is totally unacceptable. It is the responsibility of the protest leaders to ensure that demonstrations are kept safely both for participants and other residents Tirana, as well as to avoid any escalation during the protests. Law enforcement authorities also have the responsibility to act with restraint, even if provoked. We continue to call on all sides to urgently engage in a constructive dialogue to overcome the current political situation”, the statement said.
