Some international experts have even warned politics rather than at this pace, one day they will have no one to run because Albanians will be gone or dead.
But how gloomy is the prognosis? So scary it doesn't get any more.
A report published by UN experts, according to the Watson portal, shows the prognosis of the world's population by 2100.
By this year, 10.8 billion people will live in the world. Half of them will live in ten countries, between them in China and India. The latter will even outnumber China for its population.
Among the countries that will increase in number by 2100, the record keeps Nigeria at 608 percent. Then comes Angola, Tanzania, Somalia, and Zambia.
In countries that will decline the most, Albania holds the record.
The number of residents in Albania by 2100 will drop by a total of 62.2 per cent. Instead of the 2.9 million people living today, by 2100, there will be 1 million inhabitants, a two-thirds drop,” writes the Watson Agency.
Next to Albania comes Puerto Rico, Serbia, Bosnia, Moldova, Bulgaria and Croatia.
