The head of the sector for co-operation at the EU Office in Kosovo, Luigi Brusa, said that job security is fundamental and fundamental principles in the European Union and for this reason have taken such activities.

Regarding the security of work in Kosovo, he said things are not going so well and for that in the progress report there has been great criticism.

For that reason, Kosovo institutions should be more active for rules and laws to be implemented.

“The law - abiding employer is obliged to make risk assessments wherever danger is analyzed and preventative measures are identified. So it is not an academic function to get just one piece of paper and market the inspector to face-to-face when the inspector appears at his workplace. What's important is that these have to be appreciated, what inspectors have to do is verify what the plan is, work properly, and convey measures to the workplace, work environments that all those measures are in plan and are with the risks identified. The inspector must verify that all the risks that should be identified are actually in risk assessment. Things are not functioning so well in Kosovo properly, and in the progress report, you have seen that job safety has been subject to criticism from rep «severe”, Brusa said.

Part of this launch was Labour and Social Management Minister Skender Recica, who said there is progress in terms of job security.

He also indicated reforms he has undertaken as minister to further job security.

While, he announced that within two weeks about 100 construction workshops have suspended due to lack and safety conditions at work.

The Kosovo security situation at the workplace has a difference, there is progress in a positive way. And this news and these facts we should all enjoy. We have not yet come to our place of safety and health. But if we withdraw parallel comparison I see many positive changes. Risk prevention in the workplace is of great importance that any other measure we can take after an accident or a condition that can be produced by not preventing dangerous substances. Or the exposure of the workers with dangerous substances”, Minister Recica said.

Meanwhile, Chief Labour Inspector Valon Leci's duty to implement the legislation and security at work. He said the focus is on job safety and mainly construction worker.

We've got construction for 12 months. So the results are very positive. I'm informing you that we have only one death this year that is due to the fall of the builder, despite last year. The trend is very positive”, Leci said.

The project's leader, Liene Maurite, said the project aims to promote the prevention of dangerous substances in the workplace.

This campaign, titled “Healthful Workplaces, aims to increase awareness of the importance of managing risk factors in the workplace.
