So engineering killed 12 people in the United States

Presequently, the perpetrators shot at people indiscriminately at the public building. The gunman has been identified as the 40-year-old engineer DeWeyne Cruddock.

He had long worked at the public service department, and in recent years he had become the point of contact with road projects for information, but had shown dissatisfaction with the workplace. Officials said a police officer was wounded when a bullet hit his vest.

The attack began shortly after approximately 1600 local time at Virginia Beach Community Centre. There are a number of government buildings in the area. The area was surrounded by police, and employees were evacuated.

“One of the victims was shot out in a car and the rest were found on three floors of the government building”, said police chief James Cervera.

Four officers entered the building and found the man armed inside. The attacker was killed in a shootout exchange with the police.
