Election material distribution has begun at polling stations in Albania

spokeswoman Drilona Hoxhaj has indicated that the process of distribution of election materials has been completed by 53 electoral management commissions, while all other KZAZs are towards completion of this process.

The exception makes KZAZ No. 6, which for the already known reasons the election materials were re-elected in the early hours of today, which dictated the delay in launching the process of distribution of the material base for 53 polling stations that this KZAZ has. Meanwhile, in Shkodra County it turns out that about 50 per cent of polling stations still remain closed by local authorities. The Central Election Commission calls on Mayor Shkodra to co-operate in respect of law”, she said.

She said that according to provisions 248, 325 of the Criminal Code, these actions were considered criminal acts, “use of duty and obstructing election subjects”.

She announced that the CEC by decision has authorised changing several polling stations. As she said, this change was mandatory to ensure that every polling station tomorrow will be open to Albanian voters
