The ministers, tried to agree on whether the EU budget should be financed by the taxes dedicated to it, or should be obtained by the budgets of the 28 member states.
Since they had no reconciliation for the sources of budget financing, the ministers have not discussed its amount either.
EU finance ministers, during their meeting, have warned Italy that it needs to restore its public finances in line with the bloc's rules.
