Buses are not respecting stations for daily departures

Only half the capacity of the bus station for daily departure is being used by transport companies. Ragip Guraziu is hosting the bus, which leads to the city of Podujevo. He says this detention is not by the rules, but for travelers it is a suitable place.

There's probably five to six times a month I'm waiting at this bus spot. I always wait in this place. There needs to be bus stops here, but right now you're not going by the rules. The rules require that he go to the station. So it's all over the world”, says about RTV Dukagjin, Ragip Guraziu.

Companies from the Podujevo municipality, according to the changing co-ordinator at the bus station in Pristina, Shecir Abazi, do not use the ban at the station, but find alternative routes. This has prevented about 50% of daily departures from the station from being realised.

We have capabilities to serve without problems about 800 departures a day. It informs you that from the bus station, an average of 460 departures per day”, says Sequir Abazi.

But regular lines keep the company “Ariani” from Mitrovica.

“We keep the line four times a day starting at 8:30 and each time we get into station”, Behar Beka of the company “Ariani” says.

More than 700 companies operating from the bus station are licensed at the infrastructure ministry.
