Ferizaj Mayor Agim Aliu said that on this jubilar anniversary, on behalf of all the citizens of Ferizaj, he feels honored to honour the memory of the centuries-old sacrifice of our people.
Our “Fighters, those turbulent days, raised up the flag, where the names of the fallen heroes were forever marked, where the wounds of the warriors were inscribed, and where there was already irreversibly wandering the centuries-old touch of freedom and statehood. The US, Great Britain, united Western Europe and various countries of the world, as never before in history, came together to be the powerful voice of calling for the protection of a virtuous nation that was threatened with extinction. Therefore, our friends of our freedom, we will always be grateful”, Chairman Aliu said.
The case also addressed those present with one word VL-KLA in Ferizaj, Rafiz Sejdiu, who said that this big day for Ferizaj is the opportunity to remind the Kosovo Albanian people who have consistently fought against foreign invaders and in this process the people of Ferizaj were active in all these wars.

Ferizaj has been a promoter of protest organisation in both 1968 and 1981, and the 1989 protest against constitutional changes must be highlighted, protests that in a manner raised the whole of Kosovo. In all these protests, the assembly, the workers' strikes, as if they were preparing Ferizaj's people for something greater and the big one happened to the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army, so the struggle to reach this far was not short, but it was not easy, the Albanian people of Kosovo had to have a century of resistance and sacrifice, small-time wars, but the Albanian people never stopped and the results of all these wars are the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army”, Sejdiu said.
On the other hand, former Commander of the Neredime Operative Zone Shukri Buja has removed memories 20 years ago, commemorating all those who contributed to Kosovo's freedom and those who fell to never die.
The 20th anniversary of Ferizaj's liberation, during the day, is followed by the festive concert at the Sports Gym. “Bill Clinton” starting at 8:00.
Otherwise, Ferizaj, like all over Kosovo, on the day of liberation on June 12th, received him with great sacrifices -- hundreds of people killed and wounded -- most of the Albanian population being forced out of homes, thousands of homes and public objects destroyed by the Serbian occupant.
