However, the motion initiated by opposition parties is not fearing the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, the ruling coalition party.
The deputy chairman of this party, Paul Lekaj, said that in democracy every party is allowed to take such actions.
The good of democracy is this, anyone who is in politics can organise democratic and legal objections to the ruling concept. In this case even the opposition's motion does not make us stop work or feel in panic”, Lekaj said in a statement on Telegrafi.
Lekaj said they will continue to work as a coalition government by the end of the mandate.
The “Oposor is free to attempt such actions to bring down the government. We are absolutely at the head of the task and in the implementation of the civic and constitutional mandate. So we will continue safely until the next elections, which according to the constitutional legal rules is to be held in 2021”, he said.
Significantly, he was LDK chairman Isa Mustafa, who has announced they will launch the motion for the overthrow of Haradinaj government. He has also held two separate meetings with Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurtin and PSD head Shpend Ahmeti with whom they agreed to take joint action to overthrow the government.
On the other hand, LDK MP Vjosa Osmani has said they have secured 58 signatures for the collapse of the government, adding that the 58 votes secured are of opposition parties and that they have not sought the votes of the Serbian List to bring down Government. To succeed in a motion to overthrow the government, 61 of the 120 votes of Kosovo Assembly deputies are needed.
The three opposition parties -- the Democratic League of Kosovo, the Vetevendosje Movement and the Social Democrat Party -- have a total of 56 deputies in the Kosovo Assembly, and for the success of a no-confidence motion on Government, five votes are needed.
