Wessel: New Decade, vision for Kosovo development and integration

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Kadri Veselini has met in Mitrovica today, the new PDK branch structures he has discussed his vision of the New Decade and the development of Mitrovica, attended by branch chairman Bedri Hamaza and other PDK leaders from the centre and structure [...]
Header The PDK, praised the vows of the new Branch Speaker, Bedri Hamza, and stressed that in the past 12 years, The PDK in Mitrovica was first committed, and that trust, with better organisation, will turn it into full victory.
After discussing the current local governance, Veselin added that Mitrovica has responsibilities even for municipalities in the north, so he sought out from branch and chairman Hamza, to make it a real job for citizens' confidence to be realised, assessing the election process, new structures and dignified representation through the vote in the democratic electoral Assembly in the branch.
After stressing the heavy participation in the process, of different profiles from science doctors to farmer, with the participation of over 50,000 members, from 37 branches, where 20 branches are led by new heads, as Vessel said, this is about the reform PDK is making.
“The PDK is the guarantee of this state, to move even stronger in Euro-Atlantic direction. The PDK wins because it keeps its word, brings new people, with vision and purpose related to citizenship, wins that it has Western orientation and Euro-Atlantic integration, that it has responsibilities and does not fear when it has to make decisions and knows the decision that should be made for the interests of its citizens”, Veselin said.
He also spoke of the initiative to form Tribunal for the Serbian genocide in Kosovo.
The Tribunal Initiative, somebody's trying to misinterpret it. When asked, we fought for state, and the initiative has nothing to do with hate. I mean peace and reconciliation. That's what we need. The Tribunal initiative is all about this. But Serbia must first pay for the crimes. The crimes have been of the Serbian state and it must take responsibility and distance itself and criminals must be punished and should look to the future. We will then continue to deal with the crimes of communism, with problems that are still wounds, institutionally. So the goal of the new Decade is to think about the future. The past should be remembered and our action should be guided in today's, development and modernisation of the state of Kosovo”, Veselin said.
The vision of the New Decade, according to Wessel, is for Kosovo to start exploiting all its resources, because, as he said, Kosovo has extraordinary resources, among them human capital.
“With wise entrepreneurship policies, with innovative people who know and want to transform Kosovo. This is our vision, to enable generations to contribute, to develop family and perspective for Mitrovica and Kosovo, and we can reach”, he said.
While, Branch Speaker Bedri Hamza stressed that the PDK has implemented in its governance larger projects that have transformed Kosovo from a war-torn country to a country that today offers tremendous potential for rapid economic development.
President Kadri Wessel's version of the New Decade platform will bring the country's non-discernable changes and proper development for all citizens, Hamza said.
