Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini has accepted the Kosovo Report from the European Union's representative in Kosovo today, Natalia Apostolova, through which progress achieved in the country is confirmed.
Wishing the new Europarliamentaries, Chief Prime Minister Veselin said Kosovo is committed to boosting progress and on its European integration path.
And we expect that both young people and all our citizens, with the new Commission, your rightful right to move freely to the land we meet on its European continent. We'll take the responsibilities that belong to us. We are aware that we have much to do, but we will work harder together, with all segments of our society”, Wessel stressed.
He said the fight against corruption and for rule of law will be uncompromis.
Kosovo, Wessel added, has only one direction and it is EU integration, NATO and partnership with the US.
For her part, EU representative said that
The report is an honest reflection on everything Kosovo has achieved.
“Raport has a clear recommendation: The European Commission and Parliament have recommended visa liberalisation. So now, the Commission urges member states to take action as soon as possible, urgently”, Apostolova said.
In the new report on Kosovo, the European Commission has indicated that Kosovo has noted progress in implementing several key EU-related reforms, especially in terms of improving rule of law and public administration.
