He added that this announcement could conclude that some are unhappy that elections have been passed peacefully and fairly.
I want to congratulate them on their invention. I have not read anything more foolish in my life”, Vuciq said.
He commented on a joint statement by the Quinti countries of France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain and the United States, who said the election process in the four municipalities in the north passed into the calm atmosphere, but also remembered that there are still unresolved issues that have followed the 2017 election process.
“What does that mean”, Vuciq said.
Otherwise, the embassies of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States came out yesterday with a joint communiqué concerning elections in Kosovo's four northern municipalities.
Quint's embassies of state recall the findings of the EU's Mission for Monitoring Elections (EOM) in 2017, which expressed serious concerns about intimidation in many Serb areas in Kosovo, especially against political parties that competed against the Serbian List.
These shortcomings, as well as requirements to update voter lists and clarify procedures, remain unaddressed and result in competition and limited political participation, therefore raised questions concerning the overall democratic process in those areas”, the statement said.
Representatives of these embassies appeal all relevants, including institutions and political parties across the spectrum, to address these shortcomings urgently by applying EOM recommendations.
“We encourage citizens and civil society to hold parties responsible for the dedication parties have expressed through the joint declaration at the Kosovo Assembly in April 2019 to strengthen the election process. Those now elected must engage to represent the interests of all communities in their municipalities”, says the joint declaration of the Quint countries.
