Petkov, in RTS, said today's elections in four municipalities in northern Kosovo are a referendum.
He has said that in Pristina he is putting pressure on Serbs.
“Pristina is constantly putting pressure on Serbs and that the Serbian candidates' campaign has taken place under dire conditions. Adopting a resolution on alleged Serbian crimes is a kind of pressure in the eyes of the” elections, he said.
Petkov, who recently resided in Kosovo, says the Serbian people, regardless of these pressures, are determined to fight for themselves.
-“Pristina's authorities have their own candidates and Vetevendosje candidates are directly defending Greater Albania and it's not the same if they will win, Serbian candidates or Albanians who want the Serb people expelled from Kosovo,”, he stressed.
According to him, today should be passed in peace and a democratic atmosphere, because incidents correspond only to Pristina.
“Serbian List and Serbia's state with millions invested funds are an indication that the government wants to preserve Kosovo, the Serbian nation on the other hand must be present to show their responsibility and to exit massively and vote. The Serbian list is a guarantor of the survival of the Serb people in Kosovo, as well as the expansion of the government's investment cycle of Serbia, where after 40 years economic recovery in Kosovo will be moved. The Serbian list is a guarantee that the government will be present in Kosovo, Petkovic said.
Otherwise, today in four municipalities in northern Kosovo, early mayoral elections are being held.
The May 19th elections came as a result of the resignation of four mayors of the Serb majority municipalities, three of whom have re-canned again.
