Turkey launches military exercise

Turkey's General Staff announced that it has launched its largest military exercise, dubbed “The SeaWyku”, which is being monitored by the Turkish Navy and will last until May 25th.
The exercise is being held on three seas simultaneously, the eastern Mediterranean, the Aegean and the Black Sea, with 131 warships, 57 planes and 33 helicopters.
Turkish Marine Forces will conduct strategic and operational exercises with scenarios similar to situations of tensions, crises and times of war.
The Anadolu Agency reports that part of the exercise will also be internal weapons and national systems, including high-speed air carrier and anti-separial defence boat “Albatros”.
Also, there will be high-level submarines, frigates, marine artillery, Armed UAVs, as well as search and rescue units.
