Thaci: Years pass but KLA values are only growing

Attending the ceremony were the country's President Hashim Thaci, citizens and representatives of war organisations.

The chairman of war organisations, Hysni Gucati, said these memorial plates will show that soldiers for Kosovo's liberation have been activated in these homes.

The reason to place these plates is for young people, grandchildren, and grandchildren to show that years ago soldiers here have been activated for the release of the country”, he said.

Meanwhile, the country's chairman Hashim Thaci said today is a special moment for the neighbourhood and village of Pluzina.

It's good that the nation's most basic values, and the values of war regardless of time, are still the ones that unite us wherever we are as a nation. Today we are here in the raid where the Kosovo Liberation Army was born and developed. The KLA was not born by chance in Drenica, was not born by chance in Drenica of Hasa Pristina, of Shaban Poluzaku, and of many natives who are a monument to the national movement. And that patriotic spirit, carried in many generations, came at the most organised moment of the KLA. Years pass, but KLA values are only growing”, he said.

He said parties go and come, but the country's values should be preserved.

The state of Kosovo, according to him, respects and honours resistance in Pluzina, Tica and Likoc. Thaci said that in this house, there were the best boys of the mobilized nation on their national journey.

According to Thaci, the tablet discovered today must be a message to all new generations that the road to freedom has not been easy.

The “Today reveals a plaque of resistance, freedom and independence, is the message of unity and strengthening of our state for the Albanian union”, he said.

At Hasan Bayraktari's house during wartime, it was the base of the KLA.

Also, at the home of Idriz Feriz in Pulzia, where during wartime, it was the basis for the Kosovo Liberation Army, a memorial plaque has been discovered in honour of the country's freedom contribution.

Attending this ceremony was former Commander Sami Lushtaku, who asked all in attendance to be as united as possible and to fight these evils from Russia.

Professor Nuri Rexhepi said the Albanian struggle has been the most successful and unified.

The country's president, Hashim Thaci, has praised resistance for freedom, saying our nation never kneeled before the enemy.

We've had the fate of living together even in severe situations, but we've stuck together in our resistance to freedom, but under no circumstances did we kneel. Today, we make the discovery of an honourary plaque for one of the earliest KLA bases, since 92-93”, Thaci said.
